Privacy Policy

Last updated September 21, 2026 · This policy explains how AddonsNext handles information across our website, browser extensions, accounts, billing, and support.

1. Scope and controller

This Privacy Policy applies to the AddonsNext website, AddonsNext browser extensions, subscriptions, and related support services (collectively, the “Services”). AddonsNext Studio (“AddonsNext,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

Each extension may publish additional product-specific disclosures in its Chrome Web Store listing or within the extension. Those disclosures explain the permissions and information needed for that particular workflow. Third-party websites, platforms, stores, and payment providers process information under their own privacy policies.

2. Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Account and contact information: your name, email address, account identifier, and the extension or plan associated with your account.
  • Purchase and subscription records: product, plan, billing interval, amount, currency, transaction identifier, payment status, and relevant dates. Complete payment-card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored by AddonsNext.
  • Support communications: messages, attachments, screenshots, and other information you choose to send when requesting support, cancellation, or a refund.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • Device and network information: browser type, operating system, device type, language, time zone, IP address, and approximate region derived from the IP address.
  • Usage and diagnostic information: pages viewed, referring page, feature interactions, timestamps, version information, error events, and performance data needed to operate, secure, and improve the Services.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: identifiers or browser storage used for website delivery, security, preferences, authentication, and limited measurement where permitted.

Please do not send us passwords, complete payment-card numbers, authentication codes, gift card codes, or personal information unrelated to your request.

3. How and why we use information

  • provide, authenticate, maintain, and support the Services you request;
  • process purchases, verify entitlements, manage subscriptions, and handle cancellations or refunds;
  • respond to questions and send necessary service, billing, security, or policy notices;
  • detect fraud or abuse, investigate errors, and protect users, AddonsNext, and third parties;
  • measure aggregate performance and improve product reliability and usability;
  • comply with legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations; and
  • enforce our Terms of Service and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as security and product improvement, or with your consent. We may aggregate or de-identify information so it no longer reasonably identifies you.

4. Information handled by extensions

Permissions and data access differ by extension. An extension may read or modify content on a supported page only as needed to perform the workflow you initiate—for example, preparing an authorized export, organizing permitted media, generating designs from supplied rows, or managing selected account actions.

Where technically possible, workflow inputs and outputs are processed locally in your browser or sent directly to the third-party platform you are using. AddonsNext does not intentionally collect your passwords or complete payment-card details. We do not use extension workflow data for unrelated advertising.

If an account, license, or Pro plan is used, an extension may send limited account, entitlement, transaction, security, and diagnostic information to our systems. Review the applicable Chrome Web Store disclosure before installation because permissions and product behavior may change between extensions and versions. You are responsible for using an extension only with accounts, systems, content, and data you are authorized to access.

5. Cookies, local storage, and analytics

The website may use strictly necessary cookies or local storage for delivery, security, preferences, and authentication. Extensions may use browser storage to remember settings, state, or account status required for their operation. Removing an extension generally removes its local storage according to browser behavior.

If we introduce optional analytics or similar technologies, we will use available consent controls where required. You may also restrict cookies and local storage through browser settings, although doing so can affect some features.

6. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information for money. We disclose information only as reasonably needed to the following recipients:

  • Service providers: suppliers that support hosting, authentication, security, email, customer support, analytics, and payment processing under appropriate contractual restrictions.
  • Authorities and advisers: where reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, prevent harm or fraud, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • Business transaction recipients: in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards and notice where required.
  • Recipients you direct: when you request a disclosure or provide consent.

Payment providers process checkout and complete payment-card details independently. Supported third-party platforms process the content or account actions you send to them under their own terms and privacy policies.

7. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide active Services, maintain transaction and entitlement records, resolve support matters and disputes, prevent abuse, and meet tax, accounting, or legal obligations. Retention therefore varies by record type and applicable law.

  • Account and subscription information is kept while needed to provide the account and for a reasonable period after closure or cancellation.
  • Transaction and tax records may be retained for the period required by applicable accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal rules.
  • Support communications and diagnostic or security logs are retained only while reasonably needed to resolve the matter, improve reliability, or protect the Services.
  • Information stored only inside an extension remains under your browser’s storage controls and may be removed by clearing its data or uninstalling it.

When a retention period ends, we delete, aggregate, or de-identify the information unless a legal hold or active dispute requires longer retention.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information we handle, including encrypted transmission where supported, access controls, restricted administrative access, and service monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know how we process your information, access or receive a copy, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or appeal a denied request. You may also uninstall an extension, revoke browser permissions, clear local extension data, cancel a subscription, or limit optional cookies.

To submit a privacy request, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account and identify the relevant extension. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.

10. Marketing choices

If we send optional marketing messages, you may opt out using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. Opting out does not stop necessary communications such as receipts, subscription notices, security alerts, or material policy updates.

11. International processing

AddonsNext and its providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions or contractual data-protection terms.

12. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age required by local law, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Paid Services may be used only by a person legally able to enter a contract or by an authorized organization representative. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

13. Third-party services and links

The Services may link to or interact with browser extension stores, ecommerce platforms, design tools, social networks, payment providers, and other third-party services. AddonsNext does not control their availability, security, or privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information or authorizing access.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our Services, practices, or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy and update the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice before a material change takes effect.
